PDO THREAD LIFT
WHAT IS PDO THEAD LIFT?

Polydioxanone Threads (PDO Threads) are absorbable sutures that are inserted into the subcutaneous layer inducing neo-collagenesis in the area treated. Once introduced, they can produce instant skin lifting, cellular renewal, improvement of skin texture and fine lines, skin tightening and increased elasticity.

There are 3 varieties of PDO Threads are used and each one create a different effect.
-
Smooth Threads- used to perform revitalization of the skin and collagenesis. leading to tightening, thickening and improved texture thus reducing the appearance of wrinkles. PDO mono threads activate collagen synthesis to gradually tighten and rejuvenate the skin. This provides the skin with a tighter feel and appearance and more of a youthful look. Typically, around 10-30 PDO mono threads are used to treat an area. Mono threads can be used on the face, neck, decolletage and other areas of the body
-
Twisted (Screw)Threads- Screw threads are intertwined together around the inserting needle, creating instant volume targeted on sunken areas of the skin. Specific areas treated lead to increased defination and enhancement as well as collagenesis.
-
Barbed (Cogged) Threads- Essentially known as "Non-surgical Facelift" are threads that hook to the underside of the skin. The barbs form a support structure that lifts the sagging tissue. Cog threads are most effective for jawline and Nasolabial lifting as well as slimming. They also tighten the skin after a few weeks by stimulating collagen to contract below the skin’s surface. The procedure involved injecting lidocaine to numb the area of the skin where a pilot whole/entry point is made to introduce the barb thread, Once the needle is removed, the thread left behind is adjusted to desired amount of lift and then cut. The procedure takes about 30min.
