WHAT IS BOTOX?

BOTOX® Cosmetic is a purified protein that is used to reduce the appearance of facial wrinkle.  It is FDA approved for many procedures and has been used for over 10 years. Botox can be used to decrease wrinkles of the forehead, eyes, and frown lines, as well as other places. The toxin blocks nerve impulses, temporarily weakening  muscles and excessive contractions  that form wrinkles and fines lines. Dr. Scemla utilizes Botox to produce a rejuvenated youthful expression, without the appearance of a frozen look.

The treated areas will become relaxed in 5-7 days, and results last 3 to 4 months. Dr. Scemla utilizes Botox to produce a rejuvenated, youthful look, while still allowing normal facial expressions. The procedure takes approximately 10 minutes and can be performed during your lunch break.
